Always Find Yourself Inspired

No matter what it is, that inspires you, as long as it's positive...

Surround yourself with it.

These words came to me as I wood burned our business's initials into the baseboard trim of our daughter's she-shed. They were so proud of their mom & dad and all we had put into their she shed that they wanted us to leave more than just our mark in their memory. They wanted something to show others and share what their mom & dad had created just for them.
The BEST feeling ever as a parent is to know your children know they are loved.

A few dollars is all this little journal cost, but the meaning of the words it bears is priceless.
Joe got this idea journal for me the night I graduated from design school to record and sketch my design ideas. In my life, there have been few who have looked at me the way he always has, sometimes with more faith than I have ever been able to look at myself, and for that, I am so incredibly grateful.
I pray that everybody has a "Joe" like mine.

All we have to do is remember that.

It's true.

"I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence I can reach for. Perfection is God's business." ~ Michael J. Fox
“Listen to anyone with an original idea, no matter how absurd it may sound at first. If you put fences around people, you get sheep. Give people the room they need.” ~ William McKnight, 3M President
“All great deeds and all great thoughts have a ridiculous beginning.” ~ Albert Camus
“A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
“If you hear a voice within you say, ‘You cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.” ~ Vincent van Gogh
"In design for others, use your profession for the suggestion, and your opinion for nothing. It's not about you; it's all about your client and their space." ~ Racheal Norris
"A need or problem encourages creative efforts to meet the need or solve the problem." ~ Plato

All too often, we find ourselves judging others, the world, circumstance, etc., because of how things "are." Yet what we usually overlook is that WE are a driving force of difference, and if we want to see change, all we have to do is something.
Change only comes when we decide to finally do something.

Stop throwing our past out when you no longer see its value.
Instead, give it back the same TLC the original craftsmen did, breath new life back into it.
Trust me, you'll feel better about it, it won't end up in a landfill only to decay and cause further harmful damage in the world, and the story of your effort will only make it priceless.

Photographic Moments

Having been a photographer for over 13+ years, before going to school for interior decorating,
I often notice those little moments, sights, and deep meanings many tend to pass by without ever seeing or allowing themselves to absorb.
And so I decided to share a few of my private moments, thoughts, and sights with you.
Sometimes it is very revealing to see the world through someone else's eyes and thoughts.
